Locality WM Consortium Launch at St George’s Hall, Liverpool

LWMC Launch at St George’s HallWhen the Locality West Midlands Consortium made the decision to launch its new Prospectus at the 2015 Locality Conference, we had no idea that we would be coming to such a magnificent building as St George’s Hall in Liverpool.

Its splendid edifice would be but one of three locations in the country selected for the ‘Weeping Window’ display of ceramic poppies, especially for the Remembrance commemorations.

Or that the Hall in which we would gather would be such an awe inspiring, huge and unique barrel-vaulted space.

These surroundings lent a sense of occasion to the event as representatives of five of our seven partner organisations gathered to participate in the Conference and make the printed Prospectus available for the first time.

The Conference included the opportunity to visit some of the organisations tackling similar challenges to our own in Liverpool’s communities and to hear of projects further afield, all of which underlined the importance of our work and the strength that we will forge through working more closely together in our own endeavours.
