We’d like to extend a huge thank you to The Old Cross, Oldbury, and especially to Neil, Trevor, and Gilly, who worked tirelessly to organise an unforgettable Pirate Day on 20th June.

The event was a fantastic celebration of community spirit, filled with fun, laughter, a lively pub crawl, and a treasure hunt—all while raising an incredible £3,500 to support both St Albans Community Association and the British Heart Foundation.

This amazing achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of the team at The Old Cross and the generosity of everyone who took part. It was a day that truly showcased the power of community coming together for a great cause.
