Volunteers Needed

As we find ourselves in uncertain times we need to pull together more than ever to ensure the older people of our community have all the help and support they need.

Therefore we are asking if you can help us?

If you can spare a few hours to help us with washing up, food preparation or meal deliveries please contact the centre as soon as possible.

Let’s get through this together.

Coronavirus update

St Albans is following advice from the government, Public Health England and the World Health Organisation which means unfortunately we have had to close the centre.  We are still helping the community in as many ways a we can and so are running a scaled down service which includes outmeals Monday to Friday, shopping, prescription and other drug collections with precautionary measures being taken.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and service users is our top priority, and everyone is encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices. NHS information on Coronavirus, including advice on how to avoid catching or spreading the virus can be found here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Welcome to the St Albans Community Association website

Since our formation back in 1983 by Pat Ryan and Beryl Chandler, we have been committed to supporting the local community. Growing considerably since those early days, we’re now able to offer more services than ever before.

We pride ourselves on the warm, personal welcome every visitor receives. We support members of the local community with a range of activities that improve their quality of life.

We’re incredibly grateful to the people who enable us to provide this service, with funding coming from the local authority, individual grants, donations and service charges.

Our Vision

Our vision is for a community in which all are valued and respected where every resident has access to the information, support and quality services they need.

Our Mission

To be an asset to the local community by providing access to inclusive and supportive services.

Our Values

Honesty & integrity, dignity & respect, commitment to excellence and transparency & openness.

"It’s a very nice centre, I like coming here. The mini bus picks me up from my home and takes me back to my home, the food is so nice. I have met so many lovely people here they are all very friendly" ~ BKK
