St Albans Community Association

Our Volunteers

“St Alban’s was great. I felt really nice, talking to people and seeing how they were also eager to talk to us. All the people there were so friendly and nice. It was amazing. I can’t wait to go there again”  –  Simran, St Alban’s Volunteer

Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.

St Albans has many volunteers but some work exceptional hours and go above and beyond the call of duty of a paid worker let alone in a volunteer capacity. Without our very committed, loyal volunteers, St Albans would not be able to provide the extensive and supportive services we offer.

We are forever in the debt of our volunteers, who are a large part of our organisation.

Volunteer Opportunities

St Albans offers a variety of volunteer opportunities, from helping in the Pre-school with 2–4 year olds, to working in catering, delivering meals to the housebound or even accompanying our elderly clients on a trip to the seaside. As a volunteer there are plenty of things you can do, and you can devote as much or as little time as you choose.
You could help with our activities, or assist in the office or participate in the fundraising. Remember, volunteering can be very fulfilling and rewarding as you strike up new friendships and participate in the life of your community.

Can I Volunteer?

Opportunities are open to anyone over the age of 16.

What happens next?

If you decide that you want to offer your time as a volunteer, please contact us on 0121 558 0018 or email info@stalbans-cc.co.uk.

If you become a volunteer, we will need to take up references to comply with our safety policy and you will receive training and on-going support from our Managers and other volunteers.
