Supporting Carers with Knowledge and Confidence

We were delighted to welcome Higgs LLP to deliver a free and interactive workshop for carers at St Albans Community Centre.
The session focused on key legal topics that are often complex but incredibly important for families to understand, including the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Lasting Power of Attorney, and Deputyship. These areas can have a significant impact on how individuals plan for the future and support loved ones who may no longer be able to make decisions for themselves.

The workshop was highly engaging, giving carers the opportunity to ask questions and explore real-life scenarios. Following the session, a Q&A session created a safe and open space for attendees to raise thoughtful and, at times, deeply personal questions about their own family circumstances. It was clear that many valued the opportunity to gain clarity and practical guidance tailored to their situations.

Workshops like this are vital in empowering carers with the knowledge and confidence they need to navigate challenging decisions. We are incredibly grateful to Tom & Frankie from Higgs LLP for sharing their expertise and supporting our community in such a meaningful way.
